Caribbean 40 – Was Whaled

Project Description

An unfortunate accident, this Caribbean 40 struck a whale early hours of the morning, destined for fishing grounds off Newport beach.

The crew were thrown out of their seats when the boat was lifted almost a meter in the stern, Both engines stalled, and the impact caused significant damage to the port running gear and hull.

We received the devastating news that Saturday morning, got to work and lifted Rampage to safety.

We got to work and striped her down, re-laminated the hull back to factory standards, fitted new running gear and gear boxes, new hull coating and teak deck. A few months later and she it floating and performing as new.
